1. To measure accurately, you need to decide where you will stick the self adhesive hook side of the VELCRO® brand fastener to attach your Flexiscreen insect screen. You need a minimum width of 13mm (.5 inch) surface to stick the self-adhesive hook side of the VELCRO® brand fastener to your frame. 2. You need to measure the aperture (the opening, this is from top to bottom and left to right), we then add on the amount for the VELCRO® brand fastener to each of the 4 sides (which is 13mm each side) this is called the UNFINISHED size. Example; if you measured the opening at 250mm x 250mm we would add 26mm for the Velcro allowance to both the width and height and would make the Flexiscreen to 276mm x 276mm. 3. Alternatively, you can give us the FINISHED size, this includes the width of the VELCRO® brand fastener for each edge (13mm) so we will make to your given measurements. Example; if you measured 250mm x 250mm we would make it 250mm x 250mm assuming that you have added on for the Velcro fastener of 26mm to both the width and height. 4. Indicate finished or unfinished size when ordering. Pull tabs (see above photo) are always positioned horizontally unless you wish to have them placed vertically, just let us know what you prefer for your insect screen when ordering.
Illustrations – Attaching Flexiscreens To Window Frames
Looking at the illustrations; if you measure from the inside edge of the tape this would be unfinished measurements. If you measure from the outside edge of the tape this would be finished measurements.

Underneath the cover tape is the insect mesh, followed by the loop side of the VELCRO® brand fastener, double stitched for durability.
You receive a roll of the self-adhesive hook VELCRO® brand fastener along with easy to follow installation instructions with each flexiscreens insect screen purchase.
flexiscreens fly screen can be used for numerous applications provided you have a 13 mm (.5 inch) width surface to stick the self adhesive hook side of the VELCRO® brand fastener.
If your window has curved corners just give us the radius and we can mitre the corners for your insect screen to fit the radii.
When you give us the measurements of your insect screen indicate which corners are to be mitred in our comments box. See sketch of Lobster back below. 
If you want to attach your fly screen to the REVEAL of the frame (this is the surface that is at right angles to the window) just let us know when you order, and we will do the rest.
Cut-outs for locks on security doors/windows and winders are not a problem either, just supply the measurements for the size of cut out required and where you would like it positioned on the screen (please use comments box for this.)
